A Message from our Senior Class President, Ashleigh Hewey!

Hello everyone!

My name is Ashleigh Hewey, the Senior Class President. I am writing this message in regards to our Senior Year.

With the uncertain times we are living in right now, a lot of your child's year isn't looking the way we expected it to. Myself, the other senior class officers, leadership and Mrs. Corona and Mrs. Crowley have been trying to think of alternatives to still make your child's senior year special. With the circumstances that we are in, we aren't allowed to put on certain events due to the social distancing guidelines as well as the school guidelines. However we have been brainstorming some ideas, which I will explain in a moment. I just wanted to reach out and let you know that we have been working extremely hard for the past few months to try and think of other events. Unfortunately events such as, Senior Sunrise, Senior Tailgate, and even Homecoming have been rescheduled for the second semester. This was not how we had envisioned this school year going, but we are trying to make the best out of the current situation.

With that being said, we have been brainstorming ways to make the seniors know that even with everything going on that we are still special. We are trying to plan a seniors only Drive In Movie Night. We would be selling concessions as well as renting a giant movie screen with speakers. This would just be a time where seniors can gather together and hang out. But something we have also had our eye on is doing a donuts and coffee event. We would want to do this in the morning and seniors could stop by and grab a donut and/or coffee. What we ask for is your help. Since we missed our prom last year, which is supposed to be our biggest fundraiser, we don't have the same amount of money to spend like other classes have had in previous years. In order to make these events possible, run smoothly and still have enough money for our other senior activities, we are asking for voluntary donations to the Class of 2021 account. All donations will be accepted. If this is something that you would like to do, please stop by the bookkeeper located in the main office/ A building to drop off your donation or you can donate online (see website below). All you have to do is let her know who the donation is for. All donations are tax deductible and your name will be put onto a list for possible lawn seats at the graduation ceremony as a way to thank you for supporting the Tracy High Class of 2021.

I know many of you are wondering about all the other events that have been postponed or whether not they will even happen. Below, I have attached the Tracy High Activities Calendar with all of the event dates (*some are still subject to change), and the activities website for additional information. Of course, I must inform you that all these events require approval from the district and could possibly be declined at any time, so unfortunately some things are out of my control. Hopefully this will answer any or all of your questions regarding when/if events will happen.

However, on a positive note the class officers and myself have just completed designing our class sweatshirts and decided on what the graduation announcements/ invitations will look like. Both of these things have required many hours of our time and we can't wait to share it with all of the seniors. If you have yet to purchase class clothing or want to please see the link at the bottom for more details, the last day to purchase is September 31, 2020.

I would like to thank you personally and on behalf of the senior class that we appreciate your constant support and enthusiasm to make this year memorable for us.

If you have any questions/ concerns please feel free to reach out at any time. You can reach me at this email address ( or DM through the class Instagram (@tracyhighbulldogs2021). The Instagram is an excellent resource for all the latest news for Tracy High as well as the Class of 2021.

Thank you,

Ashleigh Hewey
