Mental Health Services
What Is Mental Health?
Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood.
How Do We Support?
Tracy High Counselors and Mental Health Providers work together on campus to speak with students needing support individually, provide skills to manage and improve mental health, refer students to group counseling if appropriate, and outreach through school-wide activities. Teachers and staff are also trained in recognizing when students need support, and ensure that Counselors and Mental Health Providers are immediately notified. Students and parents are also encouraged to reach out to staff if they know of a student who may have mental health needs. Together we can work to help our school community.
IF YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW IS EXPERIENCING A MEDICAL EMERGENCY, POSES AN IMMEDIATE THREAT TO THEMSELVES OR OTHERS, OR IS BEING HURT BY SOMEONE, CALL 911 FOR IMMEDIATE HELP.
What Is Cost?
We encourage families to fill out a COST Mental Health Referral Form with support from a Tracy High Staff member. This strengthens communication and guarantees that we work together to support their needs. COST Mental Health Referral Form is available by clicking on the button below.
